We really care about meaningful semantic mark-up as a cornerstone of the accessibility and usability of our websites. We believe in making websites and applications which are usable by people of all abilities, by providing users with meaningful well-structured HTML, machine readable links and text equivalents for images. We also make sure that any Javascript used progressively enhances the existing site and isn’t required.

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
Google Loves us. No, seriously, Google really loves us — because we make websites which are easy for Google to search and index. That's why we get great natural search results for our clients. We have a 'white hat' approach to SEO. We believe the way to achieve a great position in a search engine result is by producing and refining good, meaningful content.
Proven web technologies = speedy web development
Kyan is a multi-disciplined web agency that creates sites with the best available technologies. We use the right tool for the right job. All our webs are built to W3C web standards with handwritten HTML and styled using CSS, we only use tables to layout tabular data! We develop dynamic Flash applications using ActionScript 3 (AS3) and build and integrate e-commerce systems. The majority of our websites include a bespoke CMS (Content Management System) we build our own to your specifications, so you get exactly the CMS you require – nothing more, nothing less. However, if you prefer we can also integrate blog CMS engines such as Expression Engine and WordPress to drive your website, it's all about customer choice.
We work with Open Source server-side technologies including: Ruby on Rails, PHP, Ajax, MySQL – amongst others. If none of the above is your bag don't panic, if it's a technology used on the web chances are we've had experience of it somewhere along the line, this is just a list of our favourites.
